Validation of B.Sc degree completed alongside another regular B.Sc

26-May-2026 (In Civil Law)
I completed a regular B.Sc degree from one university, Concurrently, I joined another regular BSc program at a different university and am currently in my 2nd year. Since pursuing two degrees simultaneously in full-time regular mode is a violation of UGC norms due to overlapping timelines, how can I legally ensure my completed first degree remains completely valid and uncompromised ? What is the legal procedure to exit or surrender my enrollment ? does dropping out form 2nd one secures my 1st ?

UGC norms mainly prohibit pursuing two full-time regular programmes simultaneously, but action normally concerns continuation of the later course, not automatic invalidation of already completed first degree. admission rules/prospectus of both universities, UGC dual degree guidelines applicable during your admission year.

Yes. Legally and practically, the safest course is to immediately withdraw from the 2nd regular B.Sc. programme through a written application to the university seeking cancellation/discontinuation of enrollment. Your already completed 1st degree generally remains valid because it was duly completed and awarded; the issue mainly arises with the simultaneous continuation of the 2nd regular course. Keep written proof of withdrawal/acknowledgment from the 2nd university and do not appear in further exams there. This substantially reduces any future risk to your 1st degree.
