Social media post false against my name

A person posted a fake social media post about a phone call with them from my company where I am named as the person I spoke with They have also said in the post that they have a call recording which was done without my knowledge

Hello! It is important to know his intention of doing that mischief. He may be a fraudster who is looking for ransom from you. You don't have to get trapped in his tricks. If you want, you may approach me for taking legal action against this guy.

This act has infringed your right to privacy and also has defamed you by posting fake post on social media against you and without your knowledge. You can take an action against the by filing a defamation suit.

Steps for recommended actions: 1. Send a legal Notice to cease and desist such post. 2. File a police complaint for criminal defamation, under IT act for privacy violations and unauthorised recordings 3. Seek injunction: if the post is defamatory to your interest, seek an injunction order 4. Report content : Request removal from social media post.

Rise in the internet usage has also elevated it's misuse. In such circumstances where a fake social media post is posted by known or unknown, with the intention to harm the reputation. A cease and despite notice as well as an injunctory suit can also be filed by you to remove that social media post and claim damages.
