Section 9 of Hindu Marriage Act relates to restitution of conjugal rights. That in case your wife is residing separately without any sufficient cause you can file petition under Section 9 of the H.M. Act for restitution of conjugal rights.

Section 9 of hindu marriage act is for restitution of conjugal rights and after submitting that application the court direct to your wife/husband to reside with you and will made a sexual relationship with you and after this direction your wife/husband not follow the directions of the court with in one year then you can go to the court for a divorce petition because this is a ground of divorce. And your wife has no reason to reside with you then she is not entitled to maintainans
