Regarding Show cause notice from Passport office
11-Feb-2025 (In Civil Law)
I have applied for passport reissue in Nov 2022 and I received the passport without police verification within 2 weeks. After police verification done in Jan 2025, I received a show cause notice from Regional passport office Kolkata that "my police report is adverse without establishing my Indian citizenship". I have been asked to come to their office withing 21 days or my passport will be impounded.
How should I respond to their SCN?
immediately write a letter describing your situation to the concern from where you got the show cause. after that go and meet them along with your lawyer. when you receive the show cause notice? You should comply within 21 days.
