Procedure to file complaint for Injustice in land acquisition

In past before 40-50 years ago Govt. acquired our lands and given it to industrialist on lease to setup industries in Mumbai. now after long time they have started constructing residential building on these lands. At that time mo one knows whether we our ancestors benefited from it. we are the origin of this area but we do not have sufficient land to stay over here in this situation. lot of injustice in past but can we demand these lands or benefit to court or any other authority?
First of all you will have to find that when was the property acquired and the conveyance deed from the Land and Development Office and also find out the consideration amount paid at the time of acquisition by the government. If the same was unfair then you can seek compensation with retrospective effect. However you cannot get the land acquired by the government back.
