Problem In Getting Beda Jangam Caste Certificate

I had applied for Beda Jangam caste certificate, the tahsildar had dicliened my application by stating that the Beda Jangam are non vegetarian and were hunting for their living and we are not hunting and vegetarian. But due course our forefathers might had changed their living habbit to vegetarian and non hunting. Here by I seek information whether the characteristics of a caste Beda Jangam is non vegetarian and hunting, if our forefathers had changed their food habbit does it affect my caste. We had everything similar but not this alone characteristic.
