Ownership dispute regarding a well in our plot

We are having a plot which is having a well within its boundaries. Once that well was used as a common well when our plot was part of other two plots, but it was divided into three plots and the middle plot is ours. In our plot the well is there. Do we have sole ownership of the well or is it a common well?
