Neighbours' pet dog killed my cat

My neighbour's dog sneaked into my garden and killed my pet cat. What legal actions can I take against the dog and the owner ? Could I demand that the dog to be euthanised ?
Or can she take any legal action against me if I kill his dog, I just can't stand the sight of that dog ever since he attacked my cat.
You don't need to take law in your hand. Definitely she can take legal action against you if you kill her dog because of revenge. So don't take any illegal action. you can file a criminal complaint against the owner of dog if you are legal guardian of cat. And you can ask for damages and dog to be euthanized also only in case you prove that dog is danger for others living beings.
