Need to get my father's name change in both SSC & Intermediate certifi

Hello! I want to change my father's name both in my ssc and+2 certificate so that I can have no issues getting my passport. It's been 14 years since I completed my SSC. So, I am assuming neither my school nor my college gonna do anything about it. I am living in Karnataka right now and I did both my 10th and +2 in Andhra Pradesh. So, I am not sure how much time it might take or should I be contacting a lawyer from Andhra or Karnataka. Please help me out with a process that I can go ahead.

The course of action for us would be to file a suit before the civil court. Make all the necessary authorities party defendants. It’s a straightforward case whereby the court will pass a decree and direct your name to be changed in official records
