Limitation period for filing a case against illegal construction

Co-owner of a undivided joint property (who has only life interest)built a garage illegally without municipal sanctions 7 years back. Now he has left the building but garage has been let out on rent to a third person to park his car..can I approach muncipaliry to demolish the garage or it is time-barred?

First esquire that he/she has obtained the permission or not from Municipality after that you can approach to Municipal Commissioner and file a suite to the Respective Forum for ill-legal construction. You can communicate to Lawyer for Legal Steps.

Have you ever notified to the then occupier 7 years back? If not then you have to establish the case in different way. But it is possible to evict illegal occupants before demolition. If you contact us we would help you vacate the garage and then do whatever with the garage.
