Legal action against the person filing the false case.

What strict legal action can be taken and/or which case we can file against the person who has filed false case against me ?

Filing a false case is a crime and can attract inprisonment upto 7 years if proven as false. if false FIR has been filed against you then a Quashing Petition can be filed to cancel the FIR. Defamation case can be filed under civil law. All depends on the facts and circumstances of the case.
