Landlord is asking for PAN card details

23-Sep-2025 (In Civil Law)
I am shifting to a new flat and the landlord is asking for both Aadhar and PAN card details to create the rent agreement. Is it safe to provide PAN card details? Earlier I have never been asked for PAN card details for rent agreement purpose.

1. “It’s safe to share your PAN for the rent agreement—just ensure it’s used properly.” 2. “You can give your PAN for verification, but make sure it’s handled securely.” 3. “Sharing PAN is fine for rent agreements, just confirm it’s only for record-keeping.”
