Is it legal to start dance classes in a residential area?

19-Apr-2023 (In Civil Law)
I am living in residential area which consists of duplex houses. My neighbor has started some children activities along with dance classes. He is owner of house. We all neighbors are getting extremely disturbed due to dance classes. We have talked them personally regarding the issue, but no result. Is there any legal way to stop them?

Section 268 of the IPC covers such instances under a big umbrella of nuisance. Public nuisance.—A person is guilty of a public nuisance who does any act or is guilty of an illegal omission which causes any common injury, danger or annoyance to the public or to the people in general who dwell or occupy property in the vicinity, or which must necessarily cause injury, obstruction, danger or annoyance to persons who may have occasion to use any public right. A common nuisance is not excused on the ground that it causes some convenience or advantage.
File a complaint with the local police station. Let them take action. Along side, send a legal notice to your neighbour stating that action will be taken against them. If police fails to take action within reasonable time, proceed with a criminal case.
(PS You could consider sorting this out amicably once gain. Try to find the middle path. Maybe they can have classes on weekdays, early evening, when most people are at work, etc.)
