How to file a case against the police

Generally, you can file a complaint with the deputy commissioner of police for that particular zone stating your grievances. Please also attach the relevant documents if any to the written complaint. Secondly, you can also write to state human Rights commission mentioning the harassment suffered at the hands of the police officer. Lastly, you can file a writ petition before the Hon'ble High Court under article 226, seeking directions to the senior officers of the police machinery to initiate action against the concerned police officer.

Why not if any thing done by an officer in charge is against with law then you can file aa cse before appropriate forum and after investigation of the allegations found true then the person concerned must be punished accordance with law
