DOB update in 10th Mark's sheet

01-May-2026 (In Civil Law)
My Year of birth was mentioned by parents due to minimum age requirement during 1983 to appear for board exams. I would need legal advice to get this corrected as this is almost a 40 years old correction

You can seek correction of your date/year of birth through proper legal procedure even though the entry is very old. The case will mainly depend upon availability of supporting documents such as birth certificate, schooly records, Aadhaar, passport, hospital records or other contemporaneous documents showing the correct year of birth. Initially, representations can be made to the concerned educational board and authorities, and if not considered, a declaratory suit before the competent Civil Court may be required. Delay of several decades may require strong documentary proof and proper legal explanation. you can connect with an advocate.
