Death certificate not collected at time of death

Dear lawyer My mother in law passed away 5 years ago and her death certificate was not collected. How much will the entire court proceedings cost me in ? My lawyer has taken 15k and is asking for more.

The death certificate will be allotted by the department of births and deaths registrations. As your mother in law passed away 5 year back and the department may ask few relevant documents for providing the death certificate and it takes approximately 1 month to get the death certificate, 15k is not the cost, it can even be reduced by talking to the department. Hencr confirm thw exact amount from your lawyer and can try to get it as soon as possible.
