College kept the original documents.

The college I'm currently studying they kept my original documents (Leaving certificate, 10 and 12th marksheet) and requesting a blank cheque, application and proof of evidence if I need my documents and for how long. They also asked me and my parents to sign some affidavit neither let us read nor provided the copy. They're threatening us that we have to whole course duration fee if we have to discontinue the study with them. Please legally advise.
You may have signed earlier on any of their consent forms unknowingly bcs you seem like a person who is habitually signing random documents without consulting advocates first. while we feel sorry for your current state, we are not able to advise you over the internet without getting adequate details and documents, even if zerox copies or scanned PDFs. Considering the facts, the act of the educational institution is not justified. You can definitely send a legal notice through an Advocate to call upon the issues and asking for your original certificate documents to be returned. If they fail to comply with the notice, you may seek remedy under the writ jurisdiction of the Hon’ble High Court.
