Changing Caste in Tamil Nadu for inter caste families

I am a 24-year-old from Tamil Nadu. Can I change my caste from my father's to my mother's? My parents had an inter-caste marriage. Additionally, could you please explain the process of this change and estimate how long it might take?

First you have to lodge a petition before the thaluk office regarding the caste hanging issue there after the Thasildhar review this matter once the review completed then go for the final verification and new community certificate has been received or else if there is any delay in the Government side let us file a petition regarding the aforementioned issue before High court and get your remedy it looks hardly 3 months
