Car got damaged due falling of society roof want to claim maintenance

My car got damaged due to chajja fall in my society. The commitee members are not paying me the damages giving an excuse cars are parked at owners risk. I pay parking charges and extra maintainace charge What do I do?
Since you pay parking charges and extra maintenance to the society. It is the responsibility of the society to maintain the building and parking. Society is liable to pay you the compensation. You can initiate legal proceedings against them after issuance of legal notice for recovery of your damages.

You need to check the bye laws or rules and regulations of your society, thereafter you can held society members liable for the negligence on their part for not maintaining the building properties in right condition thereby creating threat to life and property. which has been occurred in your case. if any person was present where the chajja fell instead of the car then the results would have been fatal. Also you pay maintenance and parking charges on regular basis which is shown from the maintenance receipt which makes you a rightful member of the society and you ask for compensation due to inaction on the part of the society members wherein they failed to fulfil and complete their duties.
