Cancelling General Power Of Attorney

I am Nri (Canada) and sent General POA from Canada to my brother,Now I want to cancel that as we are not on good terms,He lives in different district than me and I have properties in other different districts in Punjab,He registred POI somewhere I don't know,But now I want to cancel POA,How can I do this from Canada,what docs I need for that?

hello ,A power of attorney can be revoked/ cancelled at any time by the power of attorney maker. you have to make cancellation deed and get it attested from your place of residence in Canada. then it will be registered in India alongwith the publication in local newspapers

Yes for sure u can revoke your GPA. Send a notice of revocation to GPA holder. Execute a deed of revocation of GPA. then take a paper publication ,for the purpose of public notice , stating that the above said GPA has been as on date. So that no 3rd party deals with GPA holder. for more info contact me
