How to stop payment for post dated cheques


28-Sep-2023 (In Cheque Bounce Law)
Post dated 5 Cheque of rs. 300000 is issued to a person. I have to stop payment pl advice.

Sir,

You can stop payment by instructing the bank. This may lead to cheque bounce case. It depend upon the reason why are you stopping the cheque. You may write a mail or send letter to the other party regarding not to deposit the said cheque with reason.

You can ask your bank to stop the payment and need to get give details of the cheque , but remember that person can file case against you in future and if You don't owe any amount to him then don't worry.

hello, have been through your query yes you can stop the payment by two ways either by giving intimation to the bank or eitherwise by login into your internet banking and stop the payment of the particular cheque option, depending upon your bank services
