Cheque bounce case dismissed due to non appearance

My lawyer is not serious about my case and didn't told me about appeances and didn't took steps that's why case was dismissed. Now I want to change my lawyer and want to reopen my case. Case dismissed 90 days ago. And cheque amount is 20000/-. Can i hire new lawyer or do this work by my own. But I am not interested to work with my old lawyer. Please answer in brief.

since the case is dismissed, you will not be allowed to reopen the case but after taking a certified copy of all documents, you can file a appeal before the bombay high court... you can hire a new lawyer to do this there is no restriction... lets discuss you matter further on call.

yes you can definitely work with a new Advocate who will file an application to take your matter on record before the Magistrates court. only issue that may arise looking at the current scenario of the Magistrates court is that the court may impose some cost on you which will have to be borne by you for bringing the matter on board
