Can I stop payment my self cheque

I have a give one self cheque, can I stop this or not, because one police man take rishvat from me through cheque.
You could write a letter requesting to stop the cheque payment, and furnish the details of the cheque – to the bank manager – and hand over the same by visiting your branch.
If your branch is too far or out of town, you could email this letter and then send a hard copy by courier or registered post too!
stop it immediately. you can call the customer care as well of the bank.

Since it is you self cheque then you can stop it from getting honoured.
However there are certain things that you need to take care before that otherwise cheque holder can proceed against you in the court of law.
