Divorce petition can be filed under section 13 B1 and 13 B II of the Hindu marriage act for seeking divorce on the ground of mutual consent. Husband and wife jointly moves the application before the family court for seeking divorce on mutual consent. The maximum time within which the divorce can be granted is six months. However if the court feels that there is irretrievable breakdown of the marriage then in that situation six months cooling period can also be waived off . The fees for the mutual divorce is Rs. 55,000
