Since your cheques were dishonored and you have already sent a notice (presumably the 15-day statutory notice), the clock is ticking:Waiting Period: After the builder receives your notice, they have 15 days to make the payment.Filing Window: If they fail to pay within those 15 days, you have exactly 30 days from the date the 15-day notice period expired to file a complaint in the Magistrate's Court.do not delay.cheque bounce case can be filed against them. Stamp duty of 2% has to be paid while filing the case. Notice fees and Advocate fees are different. so a total of Rs. 50,000/- will be the costing for filing of case.
