You have to fight the case on merits if you want to get the case disposed. In any case you have arrived at a settlement then produce the settlement letter in the court and pay the settlement amount before the court and get the matter withdrawn.

Yes, it is possible to settle the matter before the hearing date in the court. if both the parties are ready, then a put up petition may be filed along with the withdrawal petition by the bank. Upon making the payment in the court, the case will be settled & the case will be withdrawn. The lawyer can represent on your behalf, but a representative of the person who has filed the case, basically bank's representative has to be present over there. Now, if a warrant has been issued against you, then you will have to take bail, by coming to the court. The lawyer will draft out the bail petition & do the hearing. Regards
