Q: How to recover the token money paid for purchase of property

I had made an agreement in April for purchase of property for 28 lack with the party, during agreement 10 lack was given and time given for 3 months for registration, but fault was found in the documents, the party took more than 5 months for correction, but after correction they decided to sell to another party however they returned only 9 lack and not returning my balance amount , I am working in Indian army, so I could not travel for these things again and again, now a days they started to threaten my parents plz tell me the best solution

Advocate R V Venkatachalapthy answered
I perused the facts mentioned in the above question, Firstly file a criminal complaint at the police station for threatening your parents. And file a suit for recovery of balance amount of Rs 1 lakh that the vendor is refusing to pay you back. You also entitled to recover the said amount with interest at the rate of 6% PA. In view of your inconvenience to travel again and again you are at liberty to appoint an agent by executing power of attorney.
