Q: Changing of name in my land record how to proceed legally with it

My Father had bought a piece of land. He wanted to get registeration in the names of his two sons i.e. Me and My elder brother .( I was 4 years old and my elder brother 7 years.. that time. ) So the land was registered in the names of Rajanikant meher (me) and Naresh Meher (my elder brother ). As I was 4 years old that time... I hadn't got admission in a formal school. Next year when I got 5 years old I was admitted in a school IN MY NICK NAME - JASHOBANTA MEHER. Now in all my documents my name is Jashobanta meher. But in land record only it is Rajanikant Meher. Now I want to change my name in my land record. What should I do now ???

File a petition before the Tahasildar/Revenue Authority for correction of 2nd Column of the ROR and before the said Court you have to prove your identity. On being satisfied with your evidences, the Court may allow the correction.

Yes, consumer has right to ask for the details of the transactions of any loan account, savings/current account etc. It is the duty of a financier/bank to maintain books of accounts properly and provide the correct data to its customers.

Your question is incomplete and it depends on a lot of factors such as1) The property in question is self-acquired property or ancestral property of the person making the will, if it is self-acquired property, he can will out the property in the name of the third party2) Whether, the will is probated, in some states probate of the will is necessary whereas in some states probate is exempted.3) The WILL must be executed in sound mind, health, without any extraneous effect, pressure, allurement etc.Therefore, kindly provide data such as location of the property, whether the property is ancestral or self-acquired, whether the WILL has been probated by competent Civil Court, etc
