Continuous operation of three powerlooms causing excessive noise near your residence may amount to noise pollution and nuisance. Mere GI-sheet covering is not sufficient if the permissible noise limits are exceeded. You may submit written complaints to the local Police, local body/Panchayat or Corporation and the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board, requesting inspection and measurement of the noise level. You may also approach the Executive Magistrate/RDO for removal of public nuisance. If the disturbance continues, you can file a civil suit seeking permanent and interim injunction restraining operation of the powerlooms in a manner causing excessive noise.
