I lost close to 4 lakhs in April as I was duped through multiple accounts while buying a product online. Cyber Crime Police filed a refund petition in court for about 2.8 lakhs. First time around, it went until hearings and then the magistrate rejected it due to incomplete investigation/FIR on the side of police. Now, the second time around the magistrate has changed and they do not let self representation. Where can I get legal representation for this case in Hyderabad and what should I do?

Q: Surname different in father's and son's certificate

sir, Is it necessary to have same surname in son's & father's caste certificate. Due to some reason father's surname was wrongly used which was replaced by correct surname in children caste certificate. But here problem is that the surname of son's & fathers does not match. Does this cause some problem in future ? Or what is the correct solution.

Mismatch of surname between father’s and son’s caste certificates by itself is not fatal and does not invalidate the caste status, provided the blood relationship and community status are clearly established. Caste flows by birth, not by surname. However, such discrepancy may create practical objections in future verification for education, employment, or reservation benefits. The correct and safe solution is to regularize records by obtaining a surname correction or linking certificate—either by rectifying the father’s caste certificate, or by securing an official clarification from the competent revenue authority confirming that both certificates relate to the same family and caste. Supporting documents like birth certificate, school records, Aadhaar, and family tree affidavit should be maintained to avoid future disputes.

We were travelling to our hometown during this we had to change a bus while heading into bus due to rush my grandchild fell down I was trying to take her up in the meantime someone behind me steal my ornaments which were in my handbag.i noticed it when I was about to take the ticket and and we stopped the bus and informed it to police they checked the bus and said that they'll register FIR it's been 4 days we didn't got any update on the case. The facts clearly disclose a cognizable offence of theft committed in a crowded public transport, attracting mandatory registration of FIR. Mere oral assurance by police has no legal sanctity. A delay of four days without FIR amounts to failure of statutory duty. You must immediately approach the same police station and demand the FIR number and copy. If FIR is not registered, submit a written complaint to the SHO with acknowledgment and simultaneously forward it to the Superintendent of Police. Seek immediate preservation of CCTV footage of the bus and bus stand. If inaction continues, invoke Section 156(3) CrPC now Section 175(3) BNSS before the Judicial Magistrate to compel registration and investigation.
