Q: Constant threats to take away 2 year old boy.
Me and my husband have been living in separate cities. I have child who is 2 year old boy. I raised him alone without alimony. But now my husband has started to threaten me to take the child away. He hurls abusive words against me and all this has started to affect my well being. I was advised not to file for child custody from my side as the physical custody has always been with me. But the threats are getting violent. Not only do i fear my child's abduction but also his well being. I had no problems in his visits to the child but every time he abused me badly. I have tried to come to a mutual agreement but he wants the sole custody of the child.
Advocate Anuradha Vasisht answered
you should file complaint against him in your local police station for alleged threats. you can further file CAW Cell complaint in Mahila Thana for the alleged acts of violence by your husband. furthermore u can file domestic violence complaint in court in which u can ask for restraining orders against your husband also called protection orders, residence rights, maintenance for your self and your child, your stridhan etc
