Will regarding ancestral property

My father wants to give all his property (ancestral and acquired) to her daughter. Can I sue him in the court of law for my share.
This is my response to you:
1. Only self acquired property can be given as Will;
2. Ancestral property cannot be parted with so easily;
3. The NOC of all the legal heirs is required;
4. Consult a local lawyer, send a legal notice and take steps.
