Will by father where the house property of ancestrol property

Whether ancestrol house property can be made available to the grandson by WILL by the father when the grand father died without a WILL making the father as the possessor of the property

After the intestate death of the grandfather, all his legal heirs, including his wife and children shall be entitled to an equal share in the estate. The father alone cannot legally transfer the entire property to the grandson.
