Who does property goes to in case of beneficiary being dead
15-Jul-2023 (In Wills / Trusts Law)
My grandmother has four daughters and one son. She wrote a will that all her property only for her son. Her son is dead. If she is dead with out writing another will whether her property goes to her son's children or her daughters.
It is not clear who died first, your grandmother or her son. If it was your grandmother, by virtue of the will, her estate devolved on her son. After his death, on his legal heirs. If the son died first, the will abated. Your grandmother's legal heirs shall inherit her estate by intestate succession.
