Finding a lost will of my grandmother

My grandmother made a will for my mother which was not known to us. We have no idea of the will date or reg. no. etc. But we're sure that will do exists. How do we get the copy

Hello,
Yes there are multiple ways where we can try to trace the copy of the will, it depends on the area where it is registered than there are other procedures to trace the copy of will.
Or else if its a property matter being involved you can challenge the same in the court.

This is my response to you:
1. Have they obtained probate of the will?
2. You can approach the HC and file a search praecipie in the court;
3. There is no other legal way of knowing whether a Will was made or no;
4. Consult a local lawyer and take steps.

Check in the nearby Registrar of Properties/Registrar of Wills Office where your Grandmother was used to reside that any Will exists in her name & as such, check it through her address too. If you guys have a family lawyer, check him with too, that whether your Grandmother had made any Will or not.
