Appointment of Executor in the Will

10-Mar-2023 (In Wills / Trusts Law)
Dear Sir/Madam, I would be grateful to you if you answer my following query.. Is it mandatory to appoint an Executor in a Will. If yes, can one Beneficiary (out of two Beneficiaries) also be the Executor of that will? regards Sumeet

Hi,
As per the limited information provided by you regarding the execution of the will, it is essential to have an an executor who disposes of the settlement of the assets of the deceased person. It is essential to have a near friend or relative or a lawyer friend to be an Executor as it shows the good faith in the will and if any beneficiary is made an Executor it may come out as biased.
