Terminating Cofounder and share holder

Is it Possible to remove a troubling Shareholder of a Company, who is also co-founder of the Private limited company?
We do not have any agreements as such.
Kindly guide me, what next course of action to be taken . Thanks
Subject to the provisions of the companies Act we need to cheque the constitution of the company accordingly it all matters depending upon the no of Directors and majority of shareholding then we can pass an resoultion and remove a director from the company
