Essential Oil Manufacturing and Selling

Hi, I want to set up an Essential Oil Manufacturing and Selling Startup using a Steam Distillation Setup. And the following are my queries:
1. What kind of permissions and licenses are required?
2. What kind of Business registration is required (Proprietorship, LLP or Pvt. Ltd.)
3. Is there any requirement of educational qualification? (by the way, I hold a Diploma in Petrochemical Engineering is this enough to start a business of this nature?)
1. Licenses you may need: Literally a lot. some of them as follows:
You will need
- Shop Act license (I have heard in Maharashtra for less than 10 people license is not needes but always good to take one)
- GST registration of the business
- I highly advice MSME registration
- License under Essential Commodities Act
- Food & Drugs license
- Drugs & Cosmetics Act license (depending upon to what use you want to put the oil)
- Metrology licenses
- Trade license from corporation
- other licenses depending upon your actual business model.
2. What business? It all depends upon you. If Proprietorship is comfortable then go for it as it has very few compliances compared to company. If more than 1 person then partnership. If you want an organization type of business then OPC, LLP or even company.
