What to do when Promoter wants to cancel a registered flat deal.

I have a registered flat in one of the projects in Mumbai on the 42nd floor. The promoter or builder has suddenly decided to change the plan and reduce the floors from 50 to 40 in the building contrary to what is shown in RERA website. This has been done without any information to me, arbitrary decision saying that he is within his right to do so and has asked me to look at other Options, which does not suit me. What can I do.
first check with the MHADA if his changed plan is authorised by them or no..if the same has been done you will have to acquire the same and see where the promoter wishes to place you in the changed plan..if the plan is not approved from the authorities then you will have to file a suit against such erring promoter.
