Builder asking interest for delayed payment after registration

Bought shops at kalyan bit due due bank delay there was delay in payment.Registration has been done now just bfore possession builder is asking interest for delay in payment.Can bulder ask after whole registration process is done?
This is my response to you:
1. This will depend on the terms of your agreement;
2. No payment can be requested once registration is comeplete;
3. Ask him why he didn't ask before;
4. Consult a local lawyer and take steps.
