Legal notice reply for amount invested with fraudster

This is about a fraudster from Patna who is running a facebook group under different scheme names promising good returns. Me and my sister both had invested with his group. He initially sent us the profit 3 times. Thereafter, since July 2019, he keeps on delaying our payment month after month and more than an year has been passed.
On googling, we found that this fraudster has initially looted many people and one such article of him appeared under Dainik Bhaskar news article. But he is still operating freely. Now, he has sent an legal notice to me stating that his company is in loss so he needs 6 months time more to return the amount. Also, he says that we have been threatening him for which he has served legal notice yesterday and need to be replied within 15 days. Please advise.
hello, such kind of frauds are unfortunately a common occurrence, hopefully some contrct or an introductory letter is what you must have signed before investing in the scheme, as far as the legal notices are concerned, an appropriate response would have to be issued to him and a notice for recovery of funds
