Friend refused to pay back my money want to claim it

My friend refused to pay me back my money How can i recover? He has filed a suit on me that if i ask him to pay back he will suicide, what can i do?
There is no reason to afraid my friend you can go for recovery suit for your amount and second time he says that he will suicide then go to police station and filed a complaint against him for threatning.
