Wife wants to claim deceased husband's share in his maternal property

Sir/Madam ,My mother in law has some property which should belong to my husband but due to his absence in home my sister in laws took hold of them .Now both my mother in law and husband expired . I tried to ask my sister in laws about the property which should belong to us but they are not giving the documents and survey numbers.what should we do now and how should we proceed legally?I am Hindu.
on which property you will file case without knowing its particulars. You have to make efforts to find out/identify the property even if you know the location details, enquiry can be made from VRO. Try to obtain some connected record. based on which we can file a case for your share in so and so property.
