What to do if the builders is not giving money after cancellation

We booked a plot with a developer reg under RERA, we paid 1 lac as token amount and 11 lacs afterwards however we have not entered into sale agreement, later on due to financial contigencies we dropped the purchase of plot and informed them too, they have agreed to deduct 1.2 k from the amount we paid and refund the balance it has been 8 months they have not refunded and they keep on saying please wait, is there any rescue to us in rera ?
If u want to initiate legal action against them. U need to send a legal notice for recovery of money. And can go to the court and file the case against them.you have not mentioned here how the transaction has taken place.. Please feel free to contact me
