what is a decree, is it applicable in the present case

My father in law is saying that what ever properties are in his name and his wife name...he will write to all 4 grand childeren( 2 girl kids of his daughter + 1 male kid and 1 girl kid of his son) and he will get a decree....me and my husband didnt understand that so what is a decree and what is my father in law is saying

You can send them a legal notice stating your demands and concerns. If they donot comply with the terms of the notice then you can file a case in the consumer court or the court of civil jurisdiction if you think any of your right has been violated.There are many legal remedies in consumer protection act.
