The property you are talking about is not an ancestral property as it belonged to your grandfather and ancestral property is one which comes from last four generations so your father is a successor of your grandfather and has inherited the property by way of succession and he can transfer the property to a single daughter also during his life time by making a gift deed or after his death by executing a will. However, if your father dies intestate then all the six daughters will inherit the property equally.
