Uncle Claim in my Fathers Property

In 1980 my grandparents along with my father settled in mumbai in a piece of land, and after grandparent death my father continued to stay and later on, in 1991, the land surveyor of the Area have given a letter in favor of my father to continue aboding the place. My father have the name in the paper and also paid taxes time to time. Furher my uncle stays along with my father in the same premises. It was in 2018, my house get collapsed and i offered to reconstruct by paying equally, but my uncle refused, i built the house and spent some 4 lakh rupees for it. My uncle did not came back and also did not paid the cost of construction, however he demanded 2 lakh to waive of his rights in the said property. I paid partially to my uncle and balance is payable on 10th March this year..this amount and settlement was arrived in a common decision taken by my relative.all payment done in cash in-front and receipt is taken.. could my unlc clam n such property and hw cd i safeguard in case of dispu

you can get release deed from your uncle in your father's favour regarding his right in piece of land.Release Deed should be registered.Registration of Release Deed shall be concrete evidence of his waiver of right for Rs.2,00,000.
