Transfer of nomination in father's name

I am a member of a housing society by nomination given by my mother. Can I transfer share certificate in my father's name? Since the flat was bought by my father's income.
transfer by nomination is an imperfect title. it only gives you authority to look after the affairs of the property. technically your father is the legal heir of your mother and hence he is the current owner of the house..your father along with his sons and or daughters all are liable on that property
