Transfer of daughter's share to mother in joint owned property

27-Mar-2023 (In Property Law)
My wife and daughter want to purchase a house together with amounts that are in their respective capital gains a/c. After the capital gains a/C's are closed, my daughter will transfer her part of the house also to my wife. Will there be any legal issues? How much the transfer will cost?

Your wife and your daughter are co-owners of the property. Now if your daughter wishes to relinquish her right entirely in the property then she will have to execute a relinquishment deed in favour of your wife. The cost that you will have to bear is the stamp duty of the relinquishment deed only.
