Transfer of Ancestral Property - Agricultural/House -
06-Sep-2023 (In Property Law)
My Grandfather(Hindu) has inherited property in his name. He has 2 daughters and 1 Son(My Father). He was died in 2016 due to Cancer and there is no WILL. My Grand Mother is Alive. We (Me and My Father), have taken care of grandparents. We are residing in the house and near the property. We have liabilities of 7 Lakhs which is due to the treatment of my Grandpa. But My father's sisters(Aunties) has done nothing to my grandparents. But now they want the property.
My Grand Mother is with our side. Is there any way to acquire the property without the consent of my both aunties? They were married before 1980. Help me, please.
Assuming you belong to the Hindu religion, after the death of your grandfather without his leaving any Will, all legal heirs, namely, your grandmother, your aunts and your father shall acquire an equal share of the property by virtue of intestate succession.
